Most CEOs and leaders laugh at me when I ask them what their company’s daily score is and if they are winning or losing. Why? Because they do not have a daily score and they laugh at the reality of being able to do this in their business. They tell me that it’s too hard, that they don’t have the information, and they don’t want to bother. Yet they continue to tell me they are missing their “BUDGET” every month.
Building a business is a team sport. If the whole team knows if they are winning or losing on at least a daily basis - better faster decisions will be made to achieve the team goal. We do not play on a soccer team and say “oh darn we lost” when the score flashes up at the end of the game. No, when we play a soccer game - whether you are in a U6 league or masters league or professional league - you are constantly looking at the score and looking at the time left in the game. Why? Because each team member will make...

It doesn’t matter whether you are 3HAG Leader or not, a year in your life as a leader will look mostly like the year in the life of other leaders.
However, there are several small, but vital, ways the year in the life of a 3HAG Leader will look different than the common leader in our fast changing and turbulent world! These small, but vital, differences will make all the difference in the results and career trajectory that 3HAG Leaders enjoy!
Let’s look at some of the commonalities amongst all leaders first…
Growing a business is challenging and there’s no doubt about that. Sometimes, those challenges are internal and you can manage them more intimately. However, world economic challenges, such as pandemics or wars, are not elements that we have any say in. As these challenges may create conflict with your goals, they force you to put more time in your work rather than in other aspects of your personal life. What about your team? How are they feeling? Drained? Unaligned? Probably both.
When a team succeeds together, it creates momentum and drive to be able to tackle any challenges as well as an ability to pivot the company’s angle to reach success. But how does one ensure that the team is truly aligned and aware of the goals that are needed to achieve? How do you pivot? How do you create highly achievable goals that everyone buys into to ensure that by the end, you are able to kick back and enjoy the life that you’ve been dreaming of?
Metronome United 3HAG Coaches from around the world have compiled the following list for your consideration. We have broken down the list into You/Family, Business, COVID-19 Planning, and Key Impact Area Checklist:
Do you have big plans for 2020 and beyond for your business? We all do! And we make these plan with great intent. Its early in 2020, only a few weeks in and some of us are already wondering how we are going to achieve our plan. If you find yourself and/or team in this place here are 6 steps to help put your plan back on track:
STEP 1 - Dream Big – in working with teams large and small – they do not seem to dream big enough. We need to set a big goal that are 10+ years away. Jim Collin’s coined this long-term goal – a BIG HAIRY AUDACIOUS GOAL - a BHAG – a 10-30 goal that you don’t need to know who you are going to get there but just that you want to get there. What is you 10+ Year Goal? Go ahead GUT IT OUT – just write it down. If you don’t you won’t ever challenge it or achieve it.
Now what does this have to do with your plan for 2020. A whole lot! If...
Tell me. Is your business strategy crystal clear? Do you and your team have complete certainty over where you’re headed? And how to get there? Or does everything feel a bit like guess-work? You’re not alone. When I first start coaching clients, many of them are vague about their direction of travel. Caught up in the whirlwind of running a business, it’s hard to see the wood for the trees.
When we co-founded our first company in 1995, we were looking for the easiest and fastest way to grow our company with confidence and ease. We wanted “hockey stick” growth. Who doesn’t, really? It took our team 5 years and reading 500+ books to figure out that there was no “silver bullet” solution. But what we did learn was that there is a one Growth System that exists for all companies. And if you COMMIT to this system, it sure makes growing your company easier, with confidence, and a whole lot of fun!
At this moment, your company for sure has a Cash System and an Execution System. We did too. But this is where we got stuck. We got stuck as we wanted to grow our organization fast and easy – we wanted to know we were...

This week I am on my way to Toronto, traveling with my husband and 3 teenagers, to attend Canada’s Top 100 Women on Thursday November 22, 2018. I am honored, humbled, and inspired to be amongst my fellow strong and powerful women that make up such an impressive group.
Just to be nominated as a Top 100 for 2018 is something I was extremely proud of, but once I received notice that I was being included I felt so happy to have the opportunity to join the alumni of 1004 women from past years. Happy and very overwhelmed!
I always think about what further impact can we make into growing and evolving people, and being recognized is a reminder of how important that mindset is to maintain! As a business leader, and a citizen of this amazing country, I know my actions in both business and life affect others and has an impact on them. It is up to me to ensure that impact is positive and beneficial.
I was nominated and selected in...
